NATO Archives Online

NATO Archives Online facilitates the online consultation of the publicly disclosed formal documents of the NATO International Staff (IS) and International Military Staff (IMS).

In the coming years, NATO Archives Online will also include publicly disclosed documents originating from Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE).

NATO Archives Online provides users with the opportunity to explore 75 years of the Alliance’s history through the Committee documents of the North Atlantic Council and its sub-committees, the Military Committee and its working groups, as well as a complete collection of NATO Publications. Using simple or advanced text searching, researchers have the option to query 80000+ documents that cover NATO high level governance by reference code, specific title and multiple keywords.
However, since the addition of records is a continuous process, you should revisit the site regularly to discover new content.

Please note that NATO publicly disclosed records can be used for research purposes and publications provided that NATO is properly credited.
