Record Military Committee Series

Name of creator
The meetings of the MC/CS were held in various places in Europe and also in Washington, D.C. The meeting records have been incorporated into the ongoing series of RECORD MC documents. Starting in 1958 the Military Representatives Committee (MRC) documents were incorporated into the RECORD MC series.

This series includes meeting records by the Military Committee Chiefs of Staff (MC/CS) and the Military Committee in Permanent Session (MC/PS) between 1949 and 1959.

System of arrangement
The Chief of Staff Documents are organized by meeting number starting with the first meeting and continuing sequentially. Each file name begins with RECORD-MC/CS followed by a meeting number. The first file is organized as RECORD-MC/CS-001.
The MC/PS records are organized by meeting number starting with the first meeting, continuing sequentially, and ending with the year in two-digit format. RECORD-MC-001-58 is an example with PERM as qualifier signifying Permanent Session.
